Job Description

THE JOB

• Lead the system design process for our platform, considering reliability, scalability, and security aspects.
• Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective system design solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to incorporate into the platform's system design.
• Develop comprehensive documentation of the system architecture and design, including diagrams and specifications.
• Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance and support throughout the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to the system design principles.
• Conduct system design reviews and provide feedback to optimize the platform's performance, security, and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in system design methodologies and technologies, incorporating them into our platform when applicable.

THE PERSON

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience technical experience in system development and system design.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, utilizing Spring Boot (Java), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, Elasticsearch, and AWS S3 or Azure Blob.
• Experience with data replication and streaming techniques.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and associated tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
