Our client:

Our client is a leading construction firm in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and refresh structured training roadmaps for technical professionals (engineers, quantity surveyors, site supervisors) and corporate staff.

  • Partner with Project Directors and Department Heads to conduct thorough Training Needs Analysis (TNA) aligned with business objectives and project site requirements.

  • Develop blended learning programs covering technical competencies, safety culture, sustainability/BIM/ESG trends, and soft skills (leadership, site communication, contract administration).

  • Oversee mandatory site safety, legal compliance, and technical certification programs (e.g., CIC, HKIE, BD, and Labour Department requirements).

  • Manage the company's graduate trainee / apprentice schemes (e.g., Scheme 'A' Training), ensuring mentors and trainees hit key chartership milestones.

  • Partner with Safety & Quality Assurance teams to translate site audit findings and safety incidents into actionable refresher training modules.

  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual workshops on supervisory skills, performance management, and onboarding.

  • Manage the full training operational lifecycle: scheduling, venue logistics, trainer sourcing, material preparation, and budgeting.

  • Leverage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools to track attendance, completion rates, and learning effectiveness across both site offices and corporate HQ.

  • Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with external training providers, academic institutions, and industry bodies.

  • Drive internal L&D marketing initiatives to build a continuous learning culture across all employee levels.

  • Evaluate training ROI and produce quarterly L&D analytics reports for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Training & Development, Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, ideally within sizable organizations. Prior experience in the construction or engineering sector is highly desirable.

  • Hands-on experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms is an advantage.

  • Certification and practical experience in psychometric assessment tools is a plus.

  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing.
